Got something local on?
Tell us about your event.
Fill in the form below, or send an email. A real person reads every submission before it goes on the calendar — usually within a day. No login, no signup.
We pull events from ~30 public sources twice a day, but plenty of good stuff only lives in someone's head, on Facebook, or in a church bulletin. If you're hosting it, you're the source. Public events only, please: anything a stranger could show up to. We check the link you give us before anything is published.

Same person, same turnaround. Hit the button and a pre-filled email opens with all the right blanks.

What happens next
Someone actually reads it.
Every submission sits in a queue until a person checks it. We open the link you gave us, confirm it describes the same event with the same date, and confirm it's open to the public. If it checks out, it goes on the calendar written up in the same voice as everything else. If it doesn't, we email you.
Why do you need a link?
It's how we verify the event, and it's what we point readers to. We only list events whose details we can check somewhere public, the same standard we hold the ~30 sources we scrape to. A Facebook event, a ticket page, the venue's site, or a flyer posted online all work.
You're not making me sign up.
That's right. No account. Your email is only there so we can ask a question if something is unclear; it's never published and never added to the newsletter (that has its own signup, in the footer, and you'd have to confirm it yourself).
What kind of events go on the calendar?
Anything public-facing in or around Franklin, the Nantahala, or driveable from here within an hour. Concerts, markets, classes, fundraisers, fairs, recurring meetups, one-off things. We lean family- and locals-first. More on the philosophy.
What doesn't?
Private parties, members-only meetings, closed groups, anything where the address is only shared after you're vetted, and anything that isn't an event (a sale, a job posting, a service). Daily always-on activities like gem mining live in the field guides instead of the calendar.
What if my event already happened?
Email us anyway. We use post-event details (turnout, photos if you have them) for next year's writeup — local calendars get sharper the longer they've been around.
What if I want to NOT be on the calendar?
Email the same address — say "please remove the X event" and we'll take it down. Same day, usually.
"The town Facebook page is a mess of announcements and lost dogs. This is meant to be the one place where if it's on, you can find out."
